My Skulltrail BOXD5400XS Build!

Google

Welcome to the Resurrection Computers Skulltrail build BOXD5400XS! Most of these items are from NCIX. You may wish to shop around before buying these items from NCIX as you could probably find them cheaper from Newegg or somewhere similar. I just chose to get the product links from one website for ease of this build.

Let me just say that after reviewing this motherboard specifications, I would recommend to wait to buy this until Intel comes out with an updated version of the Skulltrail BOXD5400XS. Hopefully it will have LGA775, DDR3-1600 support, PCI-Express 2.0 and Dual Gigabit LAN. I am greatly dissappointed in Intel for releasing a "gaming motherboard" such as the BOXD5400XS without updating to these newer features. If you're willing to spend another $700 or more when an updated version of this board comes out then go for it.

With that said, this build just screams SPEED!

I have not built this system myself so I make no guarantees as to whether these components are compatible or not. Use this build sheet at your own risk! Resurrection Computers assumes no liablities.

If this is more than your budget allows, come back soon and I will have economy builds.

I built this computer on Dell’s website and they were relatively close but the components were no where near as good as the ones that I have selected. They totaled out at about $2400 and they weren’t as good of components. For instance, theirs had DDR2-800 whereas mine had DDR3-1333. This will be the first comparison on this blog… I will build a PC similar to the one above and then on the Dell site to show you how much you could save money.

Upcoming Builds:

Intel Skulltrail D5400XS (8 cores!)
